The Cobreloa 1989–91 Home Retro Football Jersey recalls a successful period in the history of one of Chile's most distinctive football clubs. Based in Calama, in the heart of Chile's copper-mining region, Cobreloa developed into a major force in South American football during the 1980s. The club claimed the 1989 Chilean Primera División championship, adding another national title to an impressive record and reinforcing its reputation for competitive, attacking football.

The team featured notable figures including Rubén Martínez, Héctor Puebla, Juan Covarrubias, Mario Soto and Fernando Cornejo. Martínez provided goalscoring quality, while Puebla and Soto represented the experience and determination that helped define the club's successful era. Cobreloa's performances during this period continued a tradition established through its domestic championships and memorable Copa Libertadores campaigns, making the late 1980s and early 1990s an important chapter in the club's history.

The jersey features a vibrant copper-orange base covered in an intricate angular geometric pattern, with overlapping chevrons, sharp black outlines and textured white speckled highlights. A clean white V-neck collar provides contrast, while three white stripes extend across the shoulders and sleeves. The traditional oval Cobreloa crest, featuring a yellow-and-black football motif, sits prominently on the chest. Its bold colours and distinctive geometric artwork capture the expressive football-shirt aesthetic of the late 1980s, making this heritage home jersey a striking tribute to Cobreloa's championship-winning generation.
