The Trabzonspor 1994–95 Third Retro Football Jersey celebrates one of the most successful seasons in the Black Sea club's 1990s history. Under manager Şenol Güneş, Trabzonspor finished as runners-up in the Turkish First League while winning both the Turkish Cup and Turkish Presidential Cup. The club also enjoyed a memorable UEFA Cup campaign, eliminating Aston Villa before facing Italian side Lazio in the third round. These achievements established 1994–95 as an important season in Trabzonspor's pursuit of domestic and European success.

The squad featured influential players including Hami Mandıralı, Shota Arveladze, Orhan Çıkırıkçı, Ünal Karaman, Tolunay Kafkas, Ogün Temizkanoğlu and Abdullah Ercan. Hami's powerful shooting and attacking quality made him one of the team's most recognisable figures, while Arveladze contributed to an exciting forward line. The combination of experienced Turkish internationals and talented overseas players helped Trabzonspor compete at a high level throughout the season, culminating in two domestic trophies.

This retro third jersey celebrates the distinctive identity of Trabzonspor and the classic football styling of the mid-1990s. As an alternative to the club's traditional claret-and-sky-blue home colours, the third-shirt edition offers collectors a different expression of Trabzonspor's historic football heritage. Associated with a memorable cup-winning squad, a strong domestic title challenge and notable European performances, the Trabzonspor 1994–95 Third Retro Football Jersey is a meaningful addition to any collection of classic Turkish football shirts.

    • Historical Significance: Turkish Cup and Presidential Cup Double, Bundesliga-era European Opposition and a Strong Domestic Championship Challenge

The 1994–95 season was one of Trabzonspor's most successful campaigns of the 1990s. Under former club goalkeeper and manager Şenol Güneş, the Black Sea club finished second in Turkey's top division while capturing both the Turkish Cup and the Presidential Cup.

    Turkish League — Runners-up

Trabzonspor mounted a strong challenge for the Turkish championship, competing against eventual winners Beşiktaş.

The team combined established Turkish internationals with talented Georgian forwards, producing an attacking style built around Hami Mandıralı, Shota Arveladze and Orhan Çıkırıkçı.

Midfielders Ünal Karaman and Tolunay Kafkas provided energy and experience, while Ogün Temizkanoğlu and Abdullah Ercan were important members of the team's defensive structure.

Although Trabzonspor ultimately finished second, the campaign established the club as one of the strongest challengers to Istanbul's traditional football powers.

    Turkish Cup — Champions

Trabzonspor enjoyed a memorable 1994–95 Turkish Cup campaign, culminating in victory over Galatasaray in the final.

After progressing through the earlier rounds, the club eliminated Gaziantepspor and Samsunspor to reach the final.

Trabzonspor defeated Galatasaray 3–2 away in the first leg before securing a 1–0 home victory in the return match on 12 April 1995.

The resulting 4–2 aggregate triumph delivered the Turkish Cup and became one of the defining achievements of the season.

UEFA Cup — Memorable European Campaign

Trabzonspor also competed in the 1994–95 UEFA Cup, producing an impressive run against established European opposition.

After eliminating Dinamo București in the opening round, Trabzonspor faced English club Aston Villa.

The Turkish side won the home leg 1–0 before losing 2–1 in England, progressing on away goals after a 2–2 aggregate draw.

In the third round, Trabzonspor faced Italian club Lazio. Despite competitive performances, the team lost both legs 2–1 and exited the competition 4–2 on aggregate.

The campaign reinforced Trabzonspor's reputation as a competitive force in European football.

    Presidential Cup — Second Trophy

Trabzonspor completed its successful season by winning the 1995 Turkish Presidential Cup, adding another domestic trophy to its Turkish Cup triumph.

The two trophies, combined with a second-place league finish and a memorable European campaign, made 1994–95 an important chapter in the club's history.

  • Rec. Player Printing Options

During the mid-1990s, Turkish football used matchday shirt numbering, and players did not necessarily retain the same number throughout every competition. Number-only printing is therefore the most historically appropriate option for this retro third shirt.

Best Printing Choice: 11 — Hami Mandıralı

    Other Strong Options: 7 — Shota Arveladze / 11 — Orhan Çıkırıkçı / 10 — Ünal Karaman / 8 — Tolunay Kafkas / 5 — Ogün Temizkanoğlu

    Recommendation

    11 — Hami Mandıralı

A classic choice associated with one of Trabzonspor's greatest goalscorers. Hami was a central attacking figure during the club's successful 1994–95 campaign and remains one of its most celebrated players.

    7 — Shota Arveladze

An outstanding attacking option. The Georgian striker was an important member of Trabzonspor's squad and contributed to the club's Turkish Cup-winning season.

    11 — Orhan Çıkırıkçı

A meaningful club heritage choice. Orhan was known for his pace, technical ability and attacking performances on the wing during Trabzonspor's successful 1990s period.

    10 — Ünal Karaman

A strong midfield-inspired selection. Karaman was an experienced Turkish international whose leadership and technical quality helped shape the team's competitive identity.

    8 — Tolunay Kafkas

A distinctive midfield choice. Kafkas provided defensive discipline, energy and tactical intelligence during the club's domestic and European campaigns.

    5 — Ogün Temizkanoğlu

A classic defensive option. Ogün was an important member of Trabzonspor's back line and a recognised Turkish international during the 1990s.

These are period-inspired printing options. Exact numbers varied between matches, and not every player-number pairing has been verified for the 1994–95 third shirt.
