The Atlético Mineiro 2014 Home Retro Football Jersey celebrates an unforgettable season in the history of the Belo Horizonte club. Under manager Levir Culpi, Atlético captured its first-ever Copa do Brasil title, defeating fierce local rivals Cruzeiro 3–0 on aggregate in the final. The club also won the Recopa Sudamericana against Lanús, adding another continental trophy to its achievements following the historic 2013 Copa Libertadores victory.

The 2014 squad featured celebrated players including Diego Tardelli, Ronaldinho, Luan, Jesús Dátolo, Victor, Leonardo Silva and Marcos Rocha. Atlético's Copa do Brasil campaign became famous for dramatic comeback victories against Corinthians and Flamengo, before Tardelli scored the decisive goal in the final against Cruzeiro. Ronaldinho's presence during the first half of the season further connected this jersey to one of the most successful periods in Atlético Mineiro's history.

The jersey features Atlético Mineiro's traditional black-and-white vertical stripes, creating the unmistakable appearance of the club's home colours. The design incorporates a black V-shaped neckline, predominantly black sleeves and contrasting white shoulder and sleeve detailing. The club's distinctive CAM shield appears on the chest, while the 2013 Copa Libertadores champions' emblem adds a special connection to the previous year's continental triumph. The classic striped design captures the identity and tradition of Atlético Mineiro during its historic 2014 trophy-winning campaign.

    • Historical Significance: Atlético Mineiro's First Copa do Brasil Triumph and Recopa Sudamericana Victory

The 2014 season was another memorable year for Atlético Mineiro, as the club followed its historic 2013 Copa Libertadores triumph with two further trophies: the Recopa Sudamericana and its first-ever Copa do Brasil title.

Copa do Brasil — Historic First Championship

Under manager Levir Culpi, Atlético Mineiro produced one of the most dramatic Copa do Brasil campaigns in the club's history.

After eliminating Palmeiras in the Round of 16, Atlético suffered a 2–0 first-leg defeat against Corinthians in the quarter-finals. In the return match, the team staged a remarkable comeback to win 4–1 and advance 4–3 on aggregate.

The semi-finals produced an almost identical story. Atlético lost 2–0 away to Flamengo before recovering from an early setback in the second leg to win 4–1, again advancing 4–3 on aggregate.

In the final, Atlético faced fierce Belo Horizonte rivals Cruzeiro. Goals from Luan and Dátolo secured a 2–0 victory in the first leg, while Diego Tardelli scored the only goal of the return match on 26 November 2014, completing a 3–0 aggregate victory.

The triumph gave Atlético Mineiro its first Copa do Brasil title and provided a fitting conclusion to an extraordinary knockout campaign.

    Recopa Sudamericana — Continental Success

As reigning Copa Libertadores champions, Atlético Mineiro faced Argentine club Lanús in the 2014 Recopa Sudamericana.

Atlético won the first leg 1–0 in Argentina before prevailing 4–3 after extra time in the return match, securing a 5–3 aggregate victory and another international trophy.

The competition was one of Ronaldinho's final achievements with Atlético Mineiro before his departure in July 2014.

    Campeonato Brasileiro and Copa Libertadores

In the Brazilian league, Atlético Mineiro finished fifth, remaining competitive throughout the season and securing qualification for the following year's Copa Libertadores.

Their defence of the continental title ended in the Round of 16, where Atlético were eliminated by Colombian side Atlético Nacional.

The season featured important contributions from Diego Tardelli, who led the attack, and Luan, whose energy and decisive goals became particularly important during the Copa do Brasil campaign. Goalkeeper Victor, defenders Leonardo Silva and Marcos Rocha, and midfielder Jesús Dátolo were also central to the team's success.

The 2014 home shirt therefore represents a particularly significant period in Atlético Mineiro's history, connecting the club's 2013 Libertadores success with its unforgettable domestic cup triumph the following year.

  • Rec. Player Printing Options

Atlético Mineiro used player names and squad numbers during the 2014 season. Both RONALDINHO 10, representing the first half of the campaign, and DIEGO TARDELLI 9, representing the Copa do Brasil triumph, are historically meaningful choices.

    Recommendation

    DIEGO TARDELLI 9

The definitive choice for Atlético Mineiro's historic 2014 Copa do Brasil victory. Tardelli scored the winning goal against Cruzeiro in the second leg of the final and was one of the team's most influential attacking players.

    RONALDINHO 10

The most internationally recognisable option. Ronaldinho remained at Atlético Mineiro during the first half of 2014 and helped the club win the Recopa Sudamericana before departing in July.

    LUAN 27

An outstanding cup-winning choice. Luan scored important goals during Atlético's remarkable Copa do Brasil campaign, including in the first leg of the final against Cruzeiro.

    DÁTOLO 23

An excellent alternative from the championship-winning squad. Jesús Dátolo contributed creativity and decisive attacking performances, including a goal in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final.

    LEONARDO SILVA 3

A classic defensive choice. Leonardo Silva was a commanding central defender and an important figure in Atlético Mineiro's successful 2013–14 era.

    MARCOS ROCHA 2

A strong full-back selection. Marcos Rocha contributed attacking width, energy and defensive consistency throughout Atlético Mineiro's successful campaign.
