The Youth Leeds United 2026-27 Third Kit delivers one of the club’s most city-focused designs in recent years, created to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Leeds Royal Charter and the historic relationship between Leeds United and its home city. The kit was officially unveiled on 21 August 2026.
The shirt uses a sophisticated carbon/dark grey base, moving away from the traditional white, blue and yellow normally associated with Leeds United. Across the fabric is a subtle tonal geometric graphic inspired by the architecture, structures and industrial character of Leeds.
Contrasting silver detailing gives the dark design a clean modern finish. Silver elements appear across the shoulders and club detailing, while the Leeds United crest is presented in a restrained monochrome treatment that integrates naturally into the carbon colour scheme.
The Youth version follows the same visual identity as the senior Third shirt and is part of the complete 2026/27 Third collection. The combination of dark carbon, silver and architectural graphics gives the shirt a distinctly urban appearance while connecting it directly with 400 years of Leeds city history.

The Royal Charter was granted in 1626, an important milestone in the development of Leeds as a city and commercial centre. Exactly 400 years later, Leeds United used that anniversary as the foundation for its Third-shirt identity.
Rather than reproducing a historical Leeds United football shirt, the design looks further back into the city's history. Its all-over pattern takes inspiration from the structures, materials, architecture and industrial character associated with Leeds, translating those influences into a contemporary football graphic.
This makes the Third shirt particularly distinctive within the 2026/27 collection. The carbon base provides a deliberately understated foundation, while the silver detailing references the city's architectural character and gives the shirt a modern metropolitan appearance.
The season also brings a number of new player-printing possibilities. Leeds officially submitted its 2026/27 Premier League squad numbers in August, confirming Ethan Ampadu 4, Dominic Calvert-Lewin 9, Harry Wilson 10, Brenden Aaronson 11, Noah Okafor 19, Ao Tanaka 22 and Wilfried Gnonto 29 among the available outfield options.
One of the most notable changes is Harry Wilson taking the No.10 shirt, giving the Welsh international one of the club’s most prominent numbers. Dominic Calvert-Lewin retains No.9, while captain Ethan Ampadu continues with No.4.
The midfield also contains several established options. Sean Longstaff wears No.8, Anton Stach No.18 and Ao Tanaka No.22, while the attacking group includes Daniel James 7, Brenden Aaronson 11, Lukas Nmecha 14 and Noah Okafor 19.
Importantly for the Youth version, Leeds' current retail range confirms that the 2026/27 Third Kids shirt is available with the same first-team player printing choices, including Calvert-Lewin 9, Wilson 10, Ampadu 4, Okafor 19, Tanaka 22 and Aaronson 11.
