1986 marked a pivotal year for the FAI with the arrival of a new manager, a new kit supplier, and a fresh start. Initially paired with the then-current badge, the kit transitioned in 1987 to the now-familiar orange FAI crest, symbolizing a new era in Irish football. This historic jersey first appeared in a 1–0 defeat to Wales, Jack Charlton's debut as manager, and was worn by notable players such as John Aldridge and Dave Langan.

That's easier said than done. Because what do you do if you are in between two sizes?
Well, that's up to you. Do you like a tight fit? Go for the smaller size. Loving a loose fit? Go for the larger size.
