The Argentina Messi 2026 Home Jersey celebrates the final World Cup campaign of Lionel Messi, who captained La Albiceleste at the 2026 tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Argentina entered the competition as defending champions and advanced all the way to the final, recording victories over Algeria, Austria, Jordan, Cape Verde, Egypt, Switzerland and England before finishing as runners-up to Spain.

The tournament provided another remarkable chapter in Messi's Argentina career. Wearing his iconic No.10, he scored a hat-trick in the opening victory over Algeria and broke the World Cup's long-standing individual goalscoring record during the group-stage win over Austria. This MESSI 10 edition therefore carries particular significance as a shirt connected with his sixth and final FIFA World Cup.

The shirt retains Argentina's unmistakable sky-blue and white vertical identity, with a central white stripe surrounded by sky-blue panels and an energetic radiating graphic spreading across the upper front and back. Black and metallic-gold trim around the crew neck and sleeve cuffs provides a championship-inspired contrast, while the Argentina crest is crowned by three gold stars representing the nation's three World Cup titles. The special gold No.10 on the chest is matched by full MESSI 10 gold printing on the back, creating a distinctive tribute to Argentina's legendary captain and his final World Cup campaign.

Argentina entered the 2026 FIFA World Cup as defending world champions after their triumph in Qatar in 2022. Lionel Scaloni's side won all three Group J matches, defeating Algeria 3–0, Austria 2–0 and Jordan 3–1, before progressing through the knockout rounds against Cape Verde, Egypt, Switzerland and England.

Argentina reached a second consecutive World Cup final, where their attempt to retain the trophy ended with a 1–0 extra-time defeat to Spain. Despite falling one match short of a fourth world title, the tournament became another historic chapter in Lionel Messi's international career.

Messi wore his iconic No.10 and captained Argentina at his sixth World Cup. He scored a hat-trick against Algeria, twice against Austria and again against Jordan, while also scoring during the knockout stage. During the 2–0 victory over Austria, Messi surpassed Miroslav Klose's long-standing World Cup goalscoring record. He finished his World Cup career with 21 goals, having represented Argentina at six editions between 2006 and 2026.

The 2026 World Cup ultimately became Messi's final major tournament for Argentina. He announced his international retirement following the tournament, bringing to a close an extraordinary national-team career that included the 2022 FIFA World Cup and two Copa América titles.
