The 1. FC Nürnberg 1999–2000 Home Retro Football Jersey recalls a challenging but important rebuilding season for one of Germany's most historic football clubs. Following relegation from the Bundesliga in 1999, Nürnberg competed in the 2. Bundesliga with the ambition of returning immediately to the top flight. The club finished fourth with 55 points from 34 matches, narrowly missing promotion by three points. Klaus Augenthaler's appointment in March 2000 helped establish the foundations for the club's successful promotion the following season.

The squad featured experienced goalkeeper Andreas Köpke, Polish midfielder Jacek Krzynówek and attacking players Martin Driller, Dimtcho Beliakov and Bernd Hobsch. Beliakov led the team's league scoring with 14 goals, while Driller contributed 12 goals and seven assists. Köpke's international experience and Krzynówek's emerging midfield quality gave Nürnberg a blend of established leadership and developing talent during this transitional campaign.

The jersey features a striking red base with a broad black horizontal chest band, complemented by contrasting black sleeves and white detailing. A traditional black fold-over collar with red-and-white trim gives the shirt a distinctive late-1990s appearance, while the club's circular crest reinforces Nürnberg's historic identity. Combining bold colour blocking with classic German football styling, this heritage jersey captures an important chapter in the club's journey back towards the Bundesliga.

    DETAILED RECOMMENDATION

We recommend KÖPKE 1 as the standout printing choice for the 1. FC Nürnberg 1999–2000 Home Retro Jersey.

Andreas Köpke was one of Germany's most respected goalkeepers, having played an important role in the national team's Euro 1996 triumph. His return to Nürnberg made him a particularly significant figure in the club's late-1990s history.

For an outfield player, KRZYNÓWEK 8 is an excellent alternative, representing a midfielder who would later become an established Bundesliga and Polish international star.

DRILLER 20 is another strong choice for supporters who appreciate the team's attacking contributions.

The UNPRINTED version remains ideal for collectors seeking a classic vintage appearance.
